We are thrilled to announce one more successful accomplishment for SICIS: the collaboration with the meticulous restoration of the legendary Prince de Galles, a luxury collection Hotel in Paris, a restoration which has brought the Hotel back to its original Art-Deco splendor.
Situated in the city’s most desirable quarter, the Golden Triangle, “le Triangle d’or”, by the Champs Elysées, Prince de Galles has been an iconic jewel on glamorous Avenue George V, since its opening in 1928.
The acclaimed international French designer Pierre Yves Rochon chose SICIS for most of the areas of the Hotel, starting from all the hundreds of rooms and exceptional suites, with intricate, artistic mosaic works and mosaics in abstract and geometrical designs.
We find SICIS flooring inserts of marble mosaic in bathroom suites, decorated with mosaic panels with a graphic rendering of Art-Deco patterns which vary from flowers, to birds, to impressive stripes of gold and white mosaic.
Mosaic marble center pieces were used as rugs and sophisticated art deco patterned walls decorate the various steam baths of the SPA. Worth to mention are also the magnificent “terrazzo” marble rugs, with a unique technique studied by SICIS for this purpose and especially thought in the respect of the glamorous French Art-Deco style of this magnificent building.
